Ride together. Race for Minnetonka.

Tonka Racing is the mountain bike team for Minnetonka High School riders in grades 6–12 — we train as one team under the Minnetonka High School banner in the MCA fall series.

Who we are

Riders of every ability are welcome — from first-time trail riders to seasoned racers. We ride local trails together, build real mountain-bike skills, and grow a supportive, positive team culture on and off the bike.

The season

The season runs from late summer into early November, with the five-race MCA series beginning in late August. Practices are weekday afternoons and weekends on area trails. Registration for the upcoming season opens in early spring.

Everyone rides

We are a co-ed team committed to getting every athlete on the trail — with coaching tailored to beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders so each person is challenged at the right level.

Skills, confidence, and a whole lot of fun

Practices meet on local singletrack where riders learn real mountain-bike skills — cornering, climbing, braking, and line choice — taught progressively so everyone rides at the right level. Race days bring the whole team together to compete.
